This FREE event is specifically designed to promote the careers, study and hobbies related to the field of Earth, Space and Environmental Science. There will be hands-on experiences, demonstrations and displays from various organizations and vendors from around WNY.
Members will be selling rocks, minerals, fossils, stone jewelry and more! There will be Buffalo Geological Society memberships available as well as other information on how to get in on events like digs and talks. Buffalo’s own rock and mineral club will have some displays as well as activities available.
This event is geared towards children, young adults, professionals, hobbyists and anyone curious about the natural world!
There is FREE parking and FREE admission, just look for the drill rig out near the front entrance of Tapestry Charter High School!
Vendor/Topic List: The Buffalo Museum of Science, Earth Dimensions, Buffalo Association of Professional Geologists, Past & Present, Wild Woods Naturalist, Fluorescent minerals, STEM, Members of the DEC, local Buffalo Geological Society members/board members, as well many other organizations will be present!
Rochester Gem, Mineral, Jewelry and Fossil Show & Sale

HOST: Rochester Lapidary Society
The times will be Sat. the 25th -10 to 6 and Sun. the 26th - 10 to 5. It will be held at Total Sports Experience, 435 W. Commercial St., East Rochester (just off Interstate 490).
Adults $7, Kids under 12 free with adult, 2 day pass, $10.
There are specimens for beginning and advanced collectors; beads to make your own necklaces, craft supplies, jewelry of all kinds, ethnic, antique or modern; geodes which can be opened on site, lights made of salt. You can buy a slice of a dinosaur tooth, or a fossil dinosaur bone. Our vendors have wonderful things from around the world.
Children’s activities like soapstone carving, mineral bingo, and rock painting will be replaced with mineral trivia and soapstone carving demonstrations for kids. Adult crafting tutorials/mini-workshops are being converted to demonstrations and instruction, but shared tools and supplies will not be available for hands-on learning.
